She’s not a checker because she has no occult agenda. She’s not a charger because she doesn’t have the power. She isn’t a pony either, because she’s not easily led nor entranced by the idea of magick spells. She grew up around it, and expecting her to be fascinated by avatars is like expecting a musician’s kid to be impressed that you have a piano in your house. She’s like, doesn’t everyone?
Maybe her knowledge of Archetypes is filtered through cultural masks, or maybe she grew up learning the straight-no-chaser versions. Whatever it is, it’s there when she needs it. So far, that’s been almost never—just once in high school. But that time convinced her this stuff’s absolutely real.
So she adapts. She’s not enthusiastic, but neither is she in denial. She’s just trying to do her job and make the weekend, all right?
